Make a fantasy world to take my mind off stuff.

So, first things first, i need a theme. I think Ill do something kinda old school, Nature, but put a twist on it. Ill make it gadgety. Everybody on this world is an engineer and designs their gadgets to run on nature power. One of the largest factions of engineers are those that use falling rain as power. There are two major oceans and one major landmass. Inland there is very little water, and that is why the Rain Engineers are the most powerful faction. In addition tot he Rain Engineers, there are also engineers that utilize fire, waves, earth, and wind.

Hmmm…The largest city in the world is located above the mountain range know as Petra’s Iris. It’s called Raspiran, the floating city. The people here that make their homes amidst the storm clouds are engineers of disciplines, the rain and wind factions. In addition it is here in the floating city that a new type of energy is being researched. Lightning, though as of yet, a way to store it hasnt been found. Because of this thigns that run off of lightning are still in the experimental stage.

Our hero will be of two factions, Fire and Rain, so all of his gadgets will run off of steam. He is a genius, and his first major creation was an automata imitating a kappa. It had an internal boiler that was fed from the water collected in its head bowl. Strangely enough though, its brain is spring instead of steam powered, and because of this the Hero named the kappa TikTok. TikTok has been with the Hero for some time and periodically recieves upgrades.
